CTA has a new fare structure effective January 1, 2006. Most CTA fares remain the
same. Pay CTA fares with Chicago Card, Chicago Card Plus, Transit Cards, passes or
cash. The revised structure enables the CTA to continue to provide the high level of
service it has worked hard to achieve and ensure a public transit system designed to
serve customers into the future. This brochure details the changes and describes the
available fare options.
